Those mags are used to run subs, if I use standard 5.56 P mags, lancer, PSA aluminum mags, or any other mags with supers it runs flawless. JAKL gains AR ergonomics, but looses the availability of (upper) parts. Now PCCs and battle rifles are a different story. The bufferless PCC makes them much more compact. BRs (.308) seem to be the way militaries are moving and better for both hunting and long range shooting. I keep coming back to the price.
Prices aren’t decided yet. Since the initial announcement materials costs have gone up dramatically. If I had to guess, and with zero input from PSA, I expect the JAKL to launch around $1200.
